Our Mission, Values and Vision Statements articulate what we want to accomplish and how we want to go about doing it. We have developed these statements in accord with these convictions: [1] Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Church and [2] His Word is the church's supreme authority.
We believe the statements to be accurate summaries of the Scriptures' teaching about the mission and methodology of the church. However, if we should discover through further study of God's Word that our statements are in error, we will happily and humbly pray and study in order to bring our understanding of the church's mission and methodology into compliance with God's directives.
We hope to be a family of worshippers whose commitment to discipleship, relationships with one another, and outreach to the lost all center upon the Word of God as our foundation, the Glory of God as our focus, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the fountain of our hope.
OUR MINISTRY VALUES
Under the authority of Jesus Christ and the power of His Gospel, we purpose to be:
1.A Family of Worshippers
We purpose to be a body of believers so captivated by Jesus Christ and His gospel that we respond with lives filled with worship. Such worship should find its expression in exalting the Savior through the faithful exposition of His Word, the celebration of the ordinances, and the encouraging of one another through the public reading of Scripture, singing, prayer, and service.
2.A Community of Disciples
We purpose to declare the manifest wisdom of God to a watching world through our relationships with one another by:
·Submitting to God-ordained authorities in the government, church, and family;
·Committing to discipleship of the body through various teaching and equipping ministries to the end that we all might do the work of the ministry;
·Cultivating biblical fellowship and sanctifying relationships within the church; and
·Modeling biblical masculinity and femininity in the church, home, and workplace.
3.Ambassadors of Christ
We purpose to share the life-giving gospel of Christ with the world, to see God exalted as He makes disciples of every tribe, tongue and nation by:
·Sending equipped believers out to evangelize within their homes, workplaces and communities;
·Calling the community to our Lord through church-sponsored evangelistic events, ministering to the poor and needy, and ultimately through planting new local churches; and
·Partnering with teams and movements in worldwide missions, including challenging and ultimately commissioning people from our own church family to worldwide missions.
OUR VISION
We envision our Church engaged in Kingdom-Building and Church-Planting.
We see our Church as a strategically positioned ministry training other regional churches and uniting with them in broad initiatives for advancing Christ’s Kingdom that single churches could not accomplish alone.
We see our Church as growing to 700 members with such resources that we are able to begin a pattern of reproducing ourselves through church plants begun by teams of our own people being sent into local harvest fields.
