Love Spelled T-I-M-E
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”, 1 John 3:18 (NIV)
In a world full of distractions, it’s easy to say “I love you” without backing it up with action. But for many, especially those close to us, love is spelled T-I-M-E. It’s not about what we say; it’s about how present we are
Think about a great basketball team. No team becomes great just by talking about it. They spend time together at practice, watching game film, and building trust. A coach doesn’t just yell instructions and leave. They invest time developing their players. Teammates who bond off the court often perform better on the court. Why? Because time builds connection, and connection builds trust.
Jesus showed us love by spending time with people. He didn’t just preach; He walked with people, ate with them, and wept with them. The Good Shepherd isn’t in a hurry. He’s with you right now.
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)
Who in your life needs your time right now? A teammate, a friend, or a family member? Love isn’t proven in a highlight reel. It’s lived out in the daily, quiet minutes of each and every day. Don’t just say you love, show up.
Yours in Christ
