Don’t Waste Being Woke!

What a week we have had! I have been awakened spiritually and I trust you have too.

What I mean to say, is don’t waste being awake! Specifically at the times that you don’t desire
to be. Maybe it is that evening that you are unable to fall asleep. It could be the middle of the
night when you are awakened by a burden, or a restless mind and you are unable to fall back
asleep right away.

What an opportunity to pray! This is never wasted time! Praying for the people you love, the
people you don’t particularly like and for those who may oppose you. Pray for the day ahead,
that God would give you opportunities to share the Gospel. What an opportunity to commune
with God. How powerful it is to bend the ear of the Creator! What an opportunity to love your
neighbor by showering them with prayers for their souls. Plead for all of these and that God
would be glorified by their lives.

At the end, ask God to help you rest. Now tired from this spiritual work, you may sleep the best
you have in a long time. May you all rest in Jesus.

Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
